West Jakarta Administration creates Integrated Waste Handling Village (KPST) in eight sub-districts to reduce waste volume before it is transported to Bantar Gebang Landfill (TPA), Bekasi.
Soon, waste sorting bins will be equipped in each RTs as a part of Jakstranasda program implementation
West Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Fredy Setiawan stated, KPST will be made in line with Jakstranasda program.
W. Jakarta Encourages Businessmen to Manage Waste"Not only creating Waste Bank Unit (BSU) at RW levels, we also encourage residents to create Integrated Waste Handling Village (KPST)," he affirmed, Sunday (10/21).
He stated, KPST will be focused at RT level first since it will be the pilot project for waste sorting and waste bank utilization.
"Soon, waste sorting bins will be equipped in each RTs as a part of Jakstranasda program implementation," he conveyed.
He explained, West Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. socializes Jakstranasda program routinely thus residents can participate in managing their environment and utilize waste bank unit.
"West Jakarta produces 1,300 tons of waste per day. Thus we need waste handling through BSU program under KPST scheme," he mentioned.
